Dr Ambrose Wong has more than 20 years of experience in Christian adventure-based counselling. He specialises in integrating experiential activities with outdoor and natural environments to facilitate reflection, personal growth, leadership development, and spiritual formation.

For more than a decade, Ambrose taught in the Diploma in Christian Adventure-based Counselling programme at Bethel Bible Seminary. He has facilitated retreats and training programmes for a wide range of churches and organisations, supporting faith formation, pastoral care, leadership development, and community building. He has also developed and taught courses in experiential education and adventure-based counselling, nurturing practitioners who are professionally competent and deeply committed to respecting and enriching the lives of others.

Ambrose also brings substantial experience in corporate leadership, governance, professional education, and organisational development. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has held senior leadership roles in professional services. He also serves in board and committee positions and teaches at postgraduate level. This combination of professional and experiential-learning expertise enables him to design and facilitate programmes for corporations and professional organisations, particularly in leadership development, team effectiveness, communication, collaboration, and reflective practice.

Ambrose has delivered keynote presentations and facilitated workshops at the Asia Chinese Experiential Education Conference, the Macau Experiential Education Conference, and the Hong Kong Christian Adventure-based Counselling Conference.

As President of the Hong Kong Institute of Adventure Counselling, Ambrose actively promotes the development of adventure-based counselling in Hong Kong. He is committed to strengthening the professional community, fostering connections among practitioners, and advancing both the conceptual foundations and practical application of the field.
