I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I founded New Adventures Counseling—a practice rooted in connection, courage, and community. For nearly two decades, I’ve woven adventure and nature-based therapies into my work with youth, emerging adults, and families, offering healing experiences that meet people where they are—on the trail, in the woods, by the water, or in everyday moments of growth and grit.
Juan Antonio Dixon (He/Him) (Tony)
Juan Antonio (Tony) Dixon, MBA, (He/Him) has been working in the field of Behavioral Health and Therapeutic Adventure for twenty years and serves as the Executive Director for The Mountain Center (TMC) located in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA where he oversees and supports leadership, risk management, training, operations, and programs. Tony has been an accreditation site reviewer for the Association for Experiential Education’s (AEE) accreditation standards and is currently a member on the AEE Accreditation Council and has served as a Co-Chair for the Adventure Therapy International Committee (ATIC) between 2023 - 2025.
